Debbie

Director of Operations

Debbie has been a dedicated member of the Wainright & Wassel team since 2005 and currently serves as Director of Operations, overseeing the many facets of the practice. With more than 33 years of experience in the dental field and extensive training in dental management, she brings exceptional expertise, leadership, and vision to the team.

A proud member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM), Debbie founded the Triangle Dental Connection in 2015. Under her leadership, it has grown into the largest AADOM chapter in the country and has earned the prestigious “Chapter of the Year” award for eight consecutive years.

In 2021, Debbie achieved AADOM’s highest honor by earning her Diplomate designation. Nationally recognized for her impact on dental practice leadership, she received AADOM’s “Practice Administrator with Distinction” award for three consecutive years (2017–2019) and was named “Practice Administrator of the Year” in 2020.

Known for her nurturing spirit and strong professional leadership, Debbie is often described by the team as “the one who takes care of us all.” She considers the office her home away from home and takes great pride in fostering a culture of care, connection, and excellence for both staff and patients.

Outside the office, Debbie and her husband, Ron, enjoy time with their growing family, including their two married children—Ryan and his wife Emily of Overland Park, Kansas, and Brittany and her husband Kevin of San Clemente, California. Debbie is a proud “NaNa” to four grandchildren—Carson, Jack, Logan, and Ila Marie—and she embraces the role wholeheartedly, happily declaring herself “one of those grandparents.”

Jessie

Practice Manager

Originally from West Hills, California, Jessie has called Raleigh home since 1992. She joined the Wainright & Wassel team in 2006 and now proudly serves as our Practice Manager. Jessie brings a vibrant mix of enthusiasm, experience, and natural leadership to the role, guiding our day-to-day operations with professionalism and heart.

Before entering the dental field, Jessie built a foundation in patient care as a board-certified bodywork and massage therapist. Her transition into dentistry was a natural fit, and over the years, she’s become known for her warm demeanor, in-depth knowledge, and passion for dental coding and insurance.

In 2021, Jessie earned her Mastership from the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) . She also serves on the AADOM Triangle Chapter Board—the largest chapter in the nation.  

Jessie is deeply grateful to the doctors for their longstanding commitment to Wake Smiles and the patients it serves. For the past 20 years, they have generously volunteered their time by treating Wake Smiles patients in the office and supporting the mission through the Pledge Promise Program, donating a portion of proceeds from select procedures to help provide care for uninsured adults in Wake County. It is an honor to work alongside doctors who so consistently give back to the community. In addition to her role in the practice, she proudly serves as Chair of the Board of Wake Smiles, further supporting its mission to expand access to compassionate, high-quality dental care.

Jessie’s favorite part of her role is the connection she shares with both patients and the incredible team she helps lead each day.

Outside the office, Jessie enjoys life with her husband, Vinnie, whom she married in 2012, and their two daughters. She loves spending time outdoors, gardening, and being with her family—and she’s a proud dog lover too!

Jessica

Brand and Team Engagement Manager

Jessica is originally from Gettysburg, PA and attended Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.

She then worked as a dental assistant for two years in her hometown before moving to North Carolina for the opportunity to work as a Patient Care Coordinator at Wainright and Wassel DDS, where she gets to combine two of her passions: dentistry and communications. Jessica also promotes office events as the Social Media Specialist, by posting on our office’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and sending newsletters to our patients. 

Jessica and her husband welcomed a baby girl in July 2025, officially promoting their Plott Hound, Gator, to big brother status. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, paddleboarding, and soaking up the beautiful NC weather with her family.

Marianne

Insurance Operations and Compliance Manager

Marianne was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and her family is originally from Mexico. She attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2020. She also attended Wake Tech Community College, earning her certification in dental billing and coding in 2024.

In 2025, Marianne became a board member of Wake Smiles, which focuses on serving the thousands of uninsured adults in Wake County who have little to no access to quality dental care. Marianne loves helping patients navigate their dental needs, accounts, and treatment plans. Especially supporting the Spanish-speaking community!

Outside of work, she enjoys caring for plants, traveling, and being a proud fur mom to her rainbow Cocker Spaniel, Max. She recently welcomed a new addition to her family, a Doberman named Duke.

Chloe

Patient Care Coordinator

Chloe is a North Carolina native who has called the Raleigh area home for the past eight years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Appalachian State University. Chloe works alongside Dr. Wainright’s team as a Treatment Coordinator and is committed to providing high-quality patient care. Always eager to learn and grow, she is dedicated to enhancing her skills to better serve our patients and support her colleagues.

Chloe and her husband, Spencer, married in 2020 and have two children. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting local museums and parks with her family, reading, and spending time outdoors.

VANESSA

Patient Concierge

Vanessa is a Raleigh native with a strong background in customer service and a lifelong commitment to excellence. An early high school graduate, she finished at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA.

As our high-spirited Patient Concierge, Vanessa is often the first friendly face you’ll see—welcoming patients and ensuring every visit starts with a smile. She has a genuine passion for learning and takes pride in making each patient feel valued, comfortable, and truly at home.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys working out, watching stand-up comedy, and spending time with her Miniature Schnauzer, Malcolm.

Julia

New Patient Concierge

Julia grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, after being born in California, and later moved
to the Greensboro area in 2015 when she married her husband, Josh.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from UNC
Wilmington in 2010, followed by an Associate’s Degree in Radiography from Wake
Technical Community College in 2013. With over a decade of experience as an X-ray
technologist specializing in orthopedics, Julia brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and
a compassionate approach to patient care.

As our New Patient Concierge, Julia is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming
experience and enjoys helping patients feel at ease from their very first visit.

Outside of work, Julia lives on a farm with her husband, their two children, and their
German Shorthaired Pointer, Rosie. She loves gardening, practicing yoga, cooking,
listening to audiobooks, and spending quality time with family and friends.
