Every six weeks, our office holds a staff meeting in which we strive to be the best dental practice we can be! At our last staff meeting, we reiterated our medical emergency plan to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff if a medical emergency were to occur.
Luckily, our staff is equipped with the proper training, equipment, and knowledge in the event of a dental emergency. Our dental office has a dental emergency manual that outlines the chain of command in case of an emergency. Our dentists and staff are also trained to administer CPR. We are firm believers that our competence is vital to your overall health. We role-played a medical emergency situation, and everyone was on key! Documentation, office drills, and an effective manual help make the difference for successful treatment in the event of a dental office emergency. Rest assured- our patients are safe in our office!
There are, however, certain precautions that can reduce the risk of an office emergency. All patients should thoroughly complete the medical history form that is given to you at your initial appointment. If you are an established patient, just remember to give us any medical updates at each appointment. These medical alerts, such as a need for pre-medicating or any latex allergies are easily noted through our pop-ups on our patient charts.
How comforting to know that Wainright & Wassel DDS is prepared to provide professional treatment at all times!
